EQUIPMENT:  Sewing Machine (extension cord?), Thread, needles, pins, Scissors (paper and fabric), Seam ripper, ruler such as 6x24, Super 60 Sara Nephew 60/120 Ruler (I will bring a supply to class for sale at $18) Rotary cutter and blades, matt, iron and ironing board.  Thread matching for machine applique, Fusible (such as Pellon wonder under, Misty Fuse or steam-a-seam lite) 1 yard; Stabilizer (such as tear-a-way or plain typing paper) 1 yard.

100% cotton fabrics.  If you prewash, please have ironed and starched before coming to class.

Fabric Color and Quantities (as shown in the photograph)

Green Light   1/2 yard

PRECUT GREEN LIGHT:  5 strips   2 1/4" x full width

Green Dark   1/4 yard

PRECUT GREEN DARK:   3 strips 2 1/4" x full width

Yellow Light   1/2 yard

PRECUT YELLOW LIGHT:  5 strips 2 1/4" x full width

Yellow Dark    1/4 yard

PRECUT YELLOW DARK:  3 strips 2 1/4" x full width

Purple   2 yards

PRECUT PURPLE:  4 strips 2 1/4" x full width

PRECUT PURPLE:  3 strips 3 3/4" x full width

BRING THE REST OF THE PURPLE UNCUT

Red   1/2 yard

PRECUT RED:  4 strips  2" x full width

Many shades of tone-on-tone fabrics were used for all of the above colors.  Avoid "overmatching"

Binding:  3/4 yard

PURPOSE:  60 degree ruler, Fusible flowers, Machine applique, different shaped table runner or wall quilt

INSPIRATION:  photo, sketch, card, magazine ad, etc.  SIZE:  8x10 with time to make several? or larger and include many techniques on same piece?  BASE muslin or similar.  Fusible such as Pellon Wonder Under, Misty Fuse, or similar. - 2 yds. Stabilizer - 2 yds.  TECHNIQUES: fusing, rotary and scissor freehand cutting; yarns, threads, beads for embellishing.
